If you have not previously had Measles, or have not been previously vaccinated, you are advised to get the MMR vaccine not less than two weeks prior to travel. Exercise caution concerning terrorism.

Flight and Transport Options
The charter base is operated by Sailitalia and the closest airport is Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) on the island of Sicily. Sailitalia address:

The airport is approximately 2 hours by road to the Sailitalia base. Palermo Airport is approximately 3 hours to the charter base.
From Catania-Fontanarossa Airport you have options to get to Portorosa, where Sailitalia is located:
Taxi (one way) approx:
1-3passengers: 230 Euros
4-8 passengers: 300 Euros
9-14 passengers: 390 Euros
Public transport
From Catania airport by bus from the airport to Messina railway station, and then by train to Barcellona-Castroreale. Finally, by taxi to Portorosa which costs around €40
By shuttle (seasonal service)
There is also a shuttle service based in Portorosa. The bus will take you directly from Catania Airport to Portorosa (or Portorosa to Catania Airport). Ticket price is euro 30 per person. There are 3 buses a day (it will take about 2 hours and 30 minutes).
Car Rental
Avis, Eurocar, Hertz and Maggiore are available at Catania Airport.
