Skipper Appreciation Dinner

A much loved tradition of DC Sailing Community flotillas is the Skipper Appreciation Dinner. Each boat crew will cover the cost of their Skipper’s dinner and drinks, as a token of thanks and appreciation for taking on the responsibility of running the boat for the week.

Event Schedule:

  • 6pm - Buses depart from Milna quay - exact location to be confirmed

    • Must be present by 5.45pm to board. Buses will leave promptly at 6pm and if you are not there you will be left behind

  • 7pm - seated for dinner

  • TBC on return bus journey to Milna quay - check back for updates

Seating Arrangements:

Each crew will be seated at a table corresponding to their boat. For your convenience a placard will be placed on each table identifying your boat. This will facilitate one check per boat, please do not sit at another boat’s table.

Payment:

Dinner and drinks will be paid for on the night. More details to follow.

Dinner:

Dinner must be selected from the menu. There are options for both a la carte and three course set dinners. Meat, seafood and vegetarian options are available. Multiple orders per boat of the three course set dinners may be served family style at your table.

  • The Skipper of each boat will collect your choices from you in advance and submit to DCSC. There are options for ‘family style’ courses and a la carte, as well as meat and vegetarian options.

  • There are no substitutes, other than accommodations from our hosts for any dietary restrictions

  • You will not be permitted to change your mind after the advance order has been sent to our hosts

  • We will advise our hosts of any dietary restrictions. Please submit this form to alert us to any allergies or dietary restrictions - please only advise us of clinically significant restrictions ie those that cause an allergic reaction or other medical issue. Any submissions of types of food you do and don’t like, or preferences for this over that, will not be forwarded to our hosts. If you do not have any dietary restrictions you do not need to submit this form.
